Preservation Policy

The International Journal of Commerce, Industry and Entrepreneurship Studies (UTISGAD Journal) is committed to the long-term preservation and accessibility of all published articles. To ensure the permanent availability of its scholarly content, the journal employs multiple preservation strategies in line with international best practices.

1. Institutional and National Archiving

All published articles are archived at:

  • Turkish National Library (national legal deposit)
  • Silifke Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SİTSO) institutional servers
  • UTISGAD Journal’s internal archive system

These archives are maintained with redundancy and regular backups to prevent data loss and ensure continuous access.

2. International Digital Preservation (Internet Archive)

The journal maintains an official open-access collection in the Internet Archive, a non-profit digital preservation service providing permanent global access to scholarly content.
The Internet Archive ensures that UTISGAD Journal’s articles remain accessible, citable, and preserved even in the event of website downtime or discontinuation.

3. Website and Server Redundancy

All electronic content, including journal articles and web pages, is hosted on a secure primary server and backed up daily to alternative servers.
In the event of technical failure, backup systems ensure full website restoration within two hours.

4. Indexing and Metadata Archiving

The journal is indexed in multiple academic databases and directories, which also store metadata and, in some cases, full-text articles.
These include Google Scholar, Zotero, Academia.edu, and other scholarly platforms.
This redundancy ensures discoverability and continued availability.

5. Author Self-Archiving

UTISGAD Journal permits and encourages authors to self-archive the final published version of their articles in:

  • Institutional repositories
  • Subject repositories
  • Personal websites
  • Academic social networks (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu)

Self-archived versions must include:

  • Full bibliographic citation
  • A link to the official published version (DOI)
  • The journal’s open license statement (CC BY-NC 4.0)
